Feeling Better

Well Jayleigh and I headed back to the Dr today. Her temperature was down to 98.7 today!!! Her oxygen level was good to. They gave her another shot today just to make sure that the bacteria was all gone. We also had to go back over the hospital and get some more blood drawn and they should be calling me tomorrow with the results to make sure that the white blood cells have gone down. If they haven't gone down then we will need to go back to the Dr tomorrow. We need to start her on Augmentin tomorrow. So we are hoping that she is all better! Well I have been playing around with Picasa tonight. Thanks to Amanda for getting me addicted. Here is the first picture that I did. I love it, let me know what you think.

We love this little girl so much!!

It's No Fun Being Sick!!

Poor little Jayleigh has been really sick since Sunday. At first I just thought that maybe it was a little cold because her nose was kind of stuffed up. I kept sucking out her nose and then that kind of went away and then she got a little cough. Well I checked her temperature Sunday before church and it was at 99.9. Then a little later that night she didn't feel as hot and she wasn't really complaining or anything so I thought it was just a fluke that her temperature was kind of high and considering she just had her shots on Thursday. Well Sunday night she had a pretty rough night and her and I slept in the living room. Her in her swing so her head was propped up so she could breathe a little better and I on the couch. When she woke up at about 4 in the morning she felt warm to me. So I took her temperature and it was up to 102. She just had her shots on Thursday so I thought that maybe that could be it but I didn't know because Friday and Saturday she did so well. Well Landon and I decided that with a fever that high for her that I better stay home with her and take her to the doctor. We went to the doctor and they wanted to test her urine because she wasn't as stuffed and the doctor said that there was nothing in her lungs. They put a catheter in her and then we had to go to the hospital and have a blood test and a RSV test on her. Well when we got done with the doctor and the hospital it was about 6. When we got home from the hospital the doctors office called and wanted us to come back into the office. We got back to the Dr and they had got her results back from the hospital and her white blood cell count was really high but luckily the RSV came back negative. So they gave her a shot of Rocephine an antibiotic. We had to sit there for 15 minutes to make sure that she didn't react. She did great with it and so we were able to go home but we had to go back in yesterday to see if it was helping any with her white blood count. We we headed back over to the hospital yesterday to do another blood test and then back to the Dr. Well her cell count had gone down a little but it was still high for her age and so they gave her another shot of Rocephine. The Dr said at this point they still couldn't tell if it was a viral or a bacterial infection. But he said that it showed signs of some infection I can't remember what he called it but he said that if it goes untreated it could turn into meningitis. They usually vaccinate for it but she is too little. So last night we had a really good friend Rickey Hoyle give Jayleigh and I blessing. I worked with him at State Farm before he retired last May. He is such an amazing man and we are so blessed that we have found these wonderful people down here! Well after the blessing we came home and her fever had stayed below 100 all night!! The power of the priesthood I'm telling you! I don't know where we would be without it. The blessing I received has really helped me to, to not be so stressed about the whole money aspect(since I have missed 3 days of work with her) and just focus on getting her better. I feel so bad for this poor little girl. She had 2 shots on Thursday (her 2 month ones), then another shot on Monday, and another one on Tuesday. As if that wasn't enough she has had to her poor little foot pricked twice for blood and they drew a lot of blood! :( Then on top of that too she had to have a catheter. So I'm staying home with her for one more day today. We go back to the doctor today at 3 and hopefully her cell count has dropped again. I will keep you updated. I just want to thank all of our wonderful family for all their thoughts and prayers.

2 Months Old Already!!!!

We can't believe that our little girl is 2 months old already! She is getting so big and is such a blessing in our lives. Here are a couple pictures of her by her bear since she is another month older!
This picture is so cute. She is smiling at her daddy after church.
Here she is almost laughing. She looks a lot bigger next to the bear then she did last month!
Here she is taking a snooze yesterday on our walk with Chris, Amanda and Cody. We went to the basketball court next to our apartments and shot some hoops. It was a lot of fun and nice to be outside for a change!
Here is Amanda watching the boys on the court.
Cody enjoying his snacks.
Chris, Landon, and Cody.
It was pretty cold down here the other night when we had to run to Wal Mart so we broke out her jacket. It looked so dang cute on her!
Here are her poor little battle scars. She had to have her shots on Thursday. She has done really good with them though.
A lazy Sunday morning. Jayleigh was fussing in her bed so we brought her into our bed and let her sleep there for a little while. I thought this picture was just so cute.

Happy Easter And Some Overdue Pics!

I know it has been a while since I updated our blog. So here are some things that we have been up to. While last Monday (the 6th) I started back to work. It was really hard to leave Jayleigh but it has been getting a lot better every day! I'm so glad that she goes to the daycare that Amanda works at so I am not so nervous!!
Here she is on her first day. That was one of the hardest days of my life! :(
And here are the beautiful flowers my mother and father in law got me on that day to brighten my day. I loved them and they were gorgeous!
Here are some pictures from Easter. Here is Spencer and AJ holding Jayleigh. It was so cute when we got there on Friday night, we had Jayleigh laying on my mom and dads bed and Spencer sitting on the bed. They sat and talked to each other. It was so dang cute!
Here is a picture of her in her Easter basket. It was her first Easter and I thought that it would be cute to get a picture of her IN her basket. I know her headband is a little screwy.
Here is Audrey and I holding Jayleigh
Here is another picture of Jayleigh
We had a really good Easter and we hope that you all did too. Landon went to the sand dunes with his family and had a blast out there.

Having fun

Here are just a few pictures of Jayleigh that I thought were to cute not to share.
This picture she is almost laughing. She was in such a good mood last night.
I love those little hands. We did her hand and foot prints last night. Her foot prints went well, but the hands.......they were a different story.
Look at that goof ball.
Here she is all bundled up to go on her first walk.
I love this picture. But I think its the other way around. He is wrapped around her finger!

Happy Birthday Mom!

I just want to tell my amazing mother Happy Birthday!!! She is the best mother in the world. She is so caring and always wanting everybody to be happy. There is no way that I could ever thank her for all of the many things that she has done for me. She has always been there for me no matter what. When we were growing up she always made sure that we had everything we needed. She has always been supportive of whatever decision I have made in my life and has always been there with a shoulder to cry on when life was rough. We have had many many great laughs together and some hard times. I'm glad that I can say that my mother is my best friend and hero because I know that some people are not able to say that, but I am and I'm so grateful for that. I just hope that I can be half the mom she has been. If I can do that I have accomplished something great! THANK YOU MOM FOR EVERYTHING! I HOPE THAT YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
Here she is with me and her newest grandchild
Goofing off in Alaska at the Sea Life Center in Seward. I'm so glad that her and my dad got to go there because it is somewhere they have wanted to go for a long time. Doesn't she look beautiful? One of our many 4 wheeler rides up the canyon two summers ago.
Here she is at the lodge we stayed at in Alaska. We had so much fun and I am so happy that I got to share that with her and my dad!
This was the best day of my life (other than the day Jayleigh was born), and if it wasn't for my wonderful mother it wouldn't have been as great as it was! She did so much that I could never repay her for everything!
