Great Grandparents

Jayleigh is so lucky to be able to have 6 that's right six grandmas. Grammie (my mom), Grandma Shelly, Great Grandma Duncan, Great Grandma Kjar, Great Grandma Brown, and Great Grandma Twitchell. And Jayleigh loves every single one of them. While we were up in Manti I also took her to see both of her great grandmas as well as to see her great grandpas in the cemetery. I miss my Grandpas so much and I wish Jayleigh would have had earthly time to spend with them. I know that they would have loved her. The same with Landon's Grandpas. I need to get better pictures of her with Landon's side.
Grandpa Duncan. I miss him so much, and can't believe that he has been gone 8 almost 9 years! He was so much fun to be around even though he didn't say much and didn't like to give hugs, I always knew that he loved me. Growing up next door he has always had a place in my heart and always will. I love him so much.
Grandpa Kjar. Oh how I miss that man so much. He always told the best stories and was always happy. I always loved being around him and just feeling his energy. I absolutely loved giving him hugs and just talking with him. When he died it left a HUGE whole in my heart that has never been replaced. Jayleigh I know would have loved him and I know he would have loved her so much!!!
Great Grandma Kjar. Of course Jayleigh loves going there because she knows that she gets a sucker or smarties every time she goes. I absolutely love this lady. She has a special place in my heart and always will. I have always aspired to be like her and I know that I am falling WAY short. She is such a great example and I'm so happy that I get to have her for my grandma and Jayleigh gets to call her Great Grandma Kjar! Grandma Duncan "Grannie". I love this woman too. I sound like a broken record I know, I know. I have learned so much from her and I love talking with her. She is so sweet and just loves life. I admire her hard work ethic and to this day she hates asking for help and wants to be able to do all the things she once did. For years living next to her the highlight was of course the New Years Eve Party. Her birthday is on January 1st and so we always had a big party and stayed up til Midnight playing games and just having a blast. I love having those memories with her. My dad in his backyard has planted a tree for everyone of his grand kids. I hadn't gotten a picture of Jayleigh by her tree yet so I had to get one finally. I love that he does this for the grandchildren and each child knows who's tree is who's and they are all excited to see how much they have grown.

Weekend with Gammie and Pompa....

We decided to go up and spend a weekend with my mom and dad. It happened to be the weekend that Cars 2 came out and so we went to the movie in Ephraim and then afterwards went to Salina for dinner at Denny's. While we driving through Gunnison they had "Tow Mater" out front of the movie theater there. Jayleigh was scared to death of him. I really wanted a picture of her by him but she wouldn't even entertain the idea. We had so much fun playing around with them. Thanks Mom and Dad, we love spending time with you! :)

Relay For Life

Richfield held a Relay For Life event about a week after Dick died. It was so touching to be there with all those survivors and all of the families there to support them. At first they did a survivors lap where they had all the survivors in their purple shirts start off the Relay. That was one of the coolest things I have witnessed. To see all those survivors still fighting and having a positive outlook on life, I cried about the whole lap. They had these bags that you write names of family members or friends that are still fighting or have passed away. We did one for Landon's Grandpa Brown, Uncle Dick and of course my Dad. I don't know why I didn't do one for my Grandma Duncan that had breast cancer but I didn't. :( It was so touching to be able to do that and really think about the things we have to be grateful too. Here are some pictures.

4th of July (A month late)......

We had so much fun this fourth of July! Since it was on a Sunday this year we got celebrate for 3 whole days. First we started going to Manti and went swimming with my mom, Chris, Amanda, Cody, and Carter. That night we had a big BBQ with my family and Landon's family and then we did some fireworks. On Sunday Jayleigh had a lot of fun playing in her pool with Uncle Dusten's help :) On Monday we headed over to Richfield to the parade. We STILL have a huge bag of candy from that parade. It was so much fun to be able to spend time with both of our families. Thanks for a great fourth everyone :)

Way, way behind

I need to get my butt in gear! I have a lot of things to post about, but my computer is not letting me upload any pictures right now. I will keep working on it, but probably won't have anything up till tomorrow or this weekend. I have not forgot about this I just need to get everything uploaded.
