Valentines Day

This year for valentines day we actually went away for the weekend. Landon's mom and dad were nice enough to watch Jayleigh for us and we went up to Midway and stayed at the Homestead. That is where we went for our honeymoon and so it was a lot of fun to be able to go back. We had dinner included our package that we got. Well it was kind of "fine dining" and so Landon had to take pictures of everything at the table because he thought that it was funny. I thought it was a really good meal.
Here is the appetizer. I was a good sport and I actually ate two of those things.
Beef Tenderloin. That was SO good. Landon was not a fan of the sauce that was over it but it I loved it!
Our Raspberry Chocolate Molten Cake. While we were there we went over to the Zermatt and looked at the ice castle that was over there. It was the coolest thing that I have ever seen. Here is a couple of pictures of it but the pictures do not do it justice.

Well Jayleigh the lucky girl got to celebrate her 1st birthday twice with both sets of family. Here are some pictures of the party with Landon's family.
She got another little cupcake to eat all her self.

Jayleigh's First, First Birthday Party

So our little Missy will be turning 1 next Friday (the 19th). I know crazy right? How is it possible you ask? I have no idea but it is happening. So last weekend we had a birthday party for her at my mom and dad's house. She had a lot of fun. Landon's mom was sweet enough to order her a cake and make her, her own little cake to destroy. I want to thank everybody for coming and having fun with us. We had so much fun! We love you all so much!
This was the present that Landon and I got her. She loves it. I thought that she would learn to go backwards before going forwards, but she goes forward and goes pretty fast. She loves it!
Me and my big girl!
We celebrated my niece Audrey's birthday as well. Her birthday was in January so we thought it would be fun to do both girls birthday.
Okay here are some pictures of her enjoying her cake. Thank you Grandma Twitchell for making one just for her! She loved it as you can see from the following pictures.
She was so messy but she had so much fun!
So a couple of weeks ago we bought Jayleigh this little couch and she loves it. She can get up on it all by herself and likes to clap for herself when she does. When we first brought it home she had to put all of her toys on it, because they needed to try it out too.
This picture was just to precious not to share. She loves her daddy!!
We are having another little party for her this Sunday so more pictures to come next week!

A weekend I DON'T ever want to repeat!

Well I'm a little behind on updating. But about three weeks ago, we did NOT have a good weekend. On Friday when we left the house Landon forgot his bag at home in Cedar. So when we got to Elsinore we had to go to Richfield to Wal Mart to get him some deodorant, gel and stuff. Well on the way over there we hit a deer with our car. Yes lovely, then on Sunday I was carrying Jayleigh out to the car and I fell and slipped on some ice with her in my arms. She didn't get hurt thankfully but I got a pretty good bruise on my elbow, ripped a hole in my shirt, and landed smack on the back of my head. For the next week I was pretty dizzy everyday and had headaches like you wouldn't believe. But I'm glad that I am feeling better now. But we did have some fun while we were away. We went to Manti and saw my Grandma's and Amber and Kayson. Kayson wasn't too fond of us when we got to his house but he warmed up. Anyway here are some of the highlights and some of the low lights of our trip! :)
Jayleigh playing in the white rocking chair at my Grandma Kjar's. That chair has been around for a long time and every grandchild and Great grandchild has played in that chair. So I think somewhere around 100 kids.
Us and Grannie. Ignore me I look horrible. But I am trying. I have lost 15 pounds, but I know in these next couple of pictures you can't notice.

Amber and I. I can't believe how horrible I look. As always though Amber looks great.
So here is our lovely car. You can tell it was a deer because you can see the hair under the light. But I'm so glad that it is fixed. That's why you have good insurance people! ;)
