Kjar Family Christmas

The first weekend in December we all headed up to Cashelle and AJs house for our annual family Christmas party.  Landon and I decided to make a long weekend out of it and we headed up on Thursday night and stayed Friday.  Cashelle sent the kids off to school and then Landon, Jayleigh, Spencer, Easton, Cashelle and Spencer and I headed into Salt Lake to meet AJ for lunch.  We met up at the Cheesecake Factory. I had never eaten there before and it was delicious. Cashelle and I then sent Landon and AJ home with Jayleigh and Spencer and we took Easton and headed to the wood store and got me a little nativity set to paint.  I love spending time with them and it was so much fun to be able to do that.  It was a much needed break!  On Friday everybody else came up and went to the Festival of Trees on Saturday.  It was blast! After the festival of trees we went to Texas Roadhouse and had some lunch.  I love family time and it was just what we needed!

Thanksgiving

I'm such an awesome mother.  Easton had his first Thanksgiving and I didn't even take pictures!  We stayed down in Elsinore and had Thanksgiving dinner at Jerry and Shelly's.  Grandma Twitchell, Leon, and Grandma Brown joined us as well.  It was a great day.

That weekend the kids and I headed up to Manti for the Duncan Christmas party.  It was so much fun and it was so good to see every body.  This was Easton's first time seeing Santa Clause and he didn't flip out like I thought he would.  He just sat and stared at him and then grabbed his beard.

This is Easton and AJ watching some football that weekend.  Easton loves to sit with AJ and watch football.  He just sits so still and takes it all in!

Happy Halloween!

I decided to have the kids pictures taken for Halloween this year.  They turned out cute I love them!  Jayleigh was Doc McStuffins and Easton was a skeleton.

Months 1-6

Since I'm such a slacker and haven't posted ANY of these pictures I will do them all at once.  We started this with Jayleigh and carried it on with Easton.  It amazes me how fast kids grow up, and this I think is a fun way to measure just how fast they grow!  We have a teddy bear that we take a picture of with Easton each month.  It so much fun to watch him change.  Here are the first 6 months. :)

Brother and Sister

I love to watch these two together.  Easton LOVES his sister and Jayleigh LOVES her brother.  (I hope for this to always be the case.)  He lights up when she comes in the room and she is so great with him.  She is always looking out for him. Here are just a few pictures of these cuties together.  I seriously couldn't ask for any greater blessings in my life.  I love them so much!

Riding Scooters!

We got Jayleigh a Scooter and she LOVES to ride it.  The day we got her scooter Landon went down to his parents house and got his old scooter and they went riding out on the driveway.  Jayleigh had so much fun having her dad ride with her.

I forgot to mention too, that Jayleigh learned to ride a bike without training wheels at Courtney's in June!  She can ride the little bikes just great and does such a great job at it.  Her bike that we have at the house is still a little big for her, but I bet this upcoming summer she will be able to do it!   She did have a big fall though and scratched up her nose pretty good, but she got over it and got right back on.  I was so proud of her!

Pre-School!

Jay is in her LAST year of pre-school!!!  I cannot believe it.  It makes me so sad that next year she will be in Kindergarten!  She is going again to Debbie Monsen and loves it!  She is getting so good at writing her name, Easton's name and mine and Landon's name.  I'm so proud of everything she does and I cannot believe she is that old already!

Jayleigh, the Wildcat!

We decided to let Jayleigh do another little cheer camp since she had so much fun at her first one.  To her dad's dismay, this cheer camp happened to be for the Richfield Wildcats.  They are South Sevier rivals and so I think it bothered Landon a little bit.  She had so much fun at practice and then she got to perform at half time at a football game.  I was so proud of her and she did such a great job.  I see a lot of cheerleading camps in our future!

Gone fishin!

We only got to go fishing once this year!  We headed up to Manti and then we went fishing up to Yearns with my dad and mom.  It was Easton's first trip up the mountain and he did great.  We caught a couple of fish and had a blast!

Eastons blessing day

We blessed Easton on the 1st of September in Elsinore.  It was such a special day.  Jerry blessed Easton and did such a great job.  We were blessed to have all of our family attend that day.  I felt bad though I didn't get very many pictures of the luncheon after. That was our first big affair that we had at our house with all of our family.  We cleared out the garage and that's where we put the food and some tables since it started raining.  My dad and mom were amazing and brought down some turkey that they marinated and then we had a BBQ.  Cashelle and her family stayed with us that night, it was so much fun to be able to spend some more time with them. Thanks so much to everybody that came and shared that special day with us.
