Christmas 2010

Well we had a wonderful Christmas this year and we hope that you all did too. We spent the holiday in Elsinore with Landon's family. Jayleigh got spoiled! She got a trike and a baby with stroller. Needless to say, after she got the baby she didn't care to open another present, so Landon and I ended up opening the majority of her presents. Landon's parent's also got her a play tent. She loves that thing and had to watch some movies in the tent later that night. Here are just a few pictures of our fun filled day. Thanks Jerry and Shelly for everything!

Kjar Christmas Party 2010

This year for our annual Kjar Christmas party, we headed back down to St. George. My parents wanted to try and go somewhere different each year, but last year when were there it rained. So we wanted to try it again, this year and we had great weather, and a great time. My parents are so great, they buy us all rooms at a hotel for 2 nights. It is so much fun!! This year the boys went golfing on Saturday and the girls had the kids so we went and played at a park. Later that night we went to the Tuachan and saw the live nativity and went on a train ride. It was so much fun!! Thanks mom and dad for everything you do for us, we really appreciate it, now I can't wait for camping in May!! :)

Maybe someday.....

Jayleigh was playing in our closet one night while we were getting ready for bed. She came out and this is what she was wearing. I had to take a picture cause it was so funny, she had on my bra and my shoes. Maybe someday Jayleigh, but I hope that is not anytime soon!!

Thanksgiving

We hope that everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving. We went up to Manti for the big feast and had a great time. My grandma was sick and so that was not so much fun, and then 6 more of us contracted what she had, including me and Jayleigh. It was okay it was just a quick 24 hour bug (for me and Jayleigh anyway). Poor grandma had to go the hospital and stay on Saturday night because she was so dehydrated. My mom, Landon, and I, braved the crowds on Black Friday and went shopping in Friday. We left Manti at 2:30 and went to JCPenney, Shopko, and Samsclub. I got Jayleigh a whole bunch of new clothes and she is set on pajamas for the rest of the year. It was a lot of fun! Landon and I know have all our Christmas shopping done. It feels great! We also had the Duncan Christmas party on Saturday. Landon and I have been watching the Santa Clause with Jayleigh to hopefully get her used to him so she wasn't so afraid. Didn't help at all. She kind of walked up to him and then he stood up and she turned around in fear and ran straight into Landon's lap and wouldn't even look at him. Oh well I'm hoping that by next year that fear subsides! The holiday got me thinking about how much I have to be grateful for in my life. I have an amazing family that help me in so many ways! They are the best family on earth. I also have amazing in-laws, who I don't know what I would do without them. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful little girl that make my life so happy. I have been having a hard time lately looking at the positive things in life and I have just been focusing on the negative. I have decided that is enough of that and no way to live. We are in a good place in our life and we have a lot more than a lot of other people do right now and I'm just grateful for what we do have. I'm excited that Christmas is almost here, it is my favorite time of the year. I love all the lights, smells and the spirit of the holiday. It brings me so much joy!

School Pictures

Jayleigh had her pictures taken at the daycare a couple of weeks ago. She wasn't too found of the man taking the pictures so there is none of her smiling, but I think that they are still pretty cute. Enjoy!

Halloween!

Well we had a wonderful Halloween and we hope that everybody else did too. On Friday night we headed up to Elsinore and started carving pumpkins with Landon's family. It was so much fun and the pumpkins turned out awesome! Then on Saturday my mom, dad, and grandma Kjar came down to see Jayleigh for a little bit. (Of course they needed to see her in her costume!) Then that afternoon we went to a carnival. They had a drawing and I won a pretty cool gift basket. It had sidewalk chalk, bike horns, mugs to paint, bobble heads to paint, and a little garden. It was worth about $85 and the ticket was only $1! After the carnival we went around Landon's neighborhood and then we went to the Trunk or Treat at the church. Jayleigh had so much fun and was such a cute little monkey, I loved her costume (of course she got tons of candy, but I'm limiting the amount she eats. So she will be eating candy probably till Valentines Day! :) I'm now looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Pumpkin Painting

It's been forever since we have updated! Well we are busy getting ready for Halloween around here. We got some pumpkins last weekend from what Jerry and Shelly grew. They are nice pumpkins and Jayleigh was so excited about them. The first two pictures are not of painting the pumpkins but I had to take a picture of Jayleigh in her dress. I love this dress and I don't have a picture of her in yet. Well Landon is headed back to Vegas to work tomorrow, it was so nice having him home for 3 weeks. At least he is still employed for right now. Well we hope that everybody else is doing great!
She was concentrating really hard on her pumpkins. it took her about 20 minuets to completely cover her pumpkin.

All 3 of them finished. Landon's, mine and, Jayleigh's.
Now I can't wait for this weekend so my mom, Shelly, Lyndsay and, I can go to Thriller. It will be so much fun! :)
