We hope that everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving. We went up to Manti for the big feast and had a great time. My grandma was sick and so that was not so much fun, and then 6 more of us contracted what she had, including me and Jayleigh. It was okay it was just a quick 24 hour bug (for me and Jayleigh anyway). Poor grandma had to go the hospital and stay on Saturday night because she was so dehydrated. My mom, Landon, and I, braved the crowds on Black Friday and went shopping in Friday. We left Manti at 2:30 and went to JCPenney, Shopko, and Samsclub. I got Jayleigh a whole bunch of new clothes and she is set on pajamas for the rest of the year. It was a lot of fun! Landon and I know have all our Christmas shopping done. It feels great! We also had the Duncan Christmas party on Saturday. Landon and I have been watching the Santa Clause with Jayleigh to hopefully get her used to him so she wasn't so afraid. Didn't help at all. She kind of walked up to him and then he stood up and she turned around in fear and ran straight into Landon's lap and wouldn't even look at him. Oh well I'm hoping that by next year that fear subsides!
The holiday got me thinking about how much I have to be grateful for in my life. I have an amazing family that help me in so many ways! They are the best family on earth. I also have amazing in-laws, who I don't know what I would do without them. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful little girl that make my life so happy. I have been having a hard time lately looking at the positive things in life and I have just been focusing on the negative. I have decided that is enough of that and no way to live. We are in a good place in our life and we have a lot more than a lot of other people do right now and I'm just grateful for what we do have. I'm excited that Christmas is almost here, it is my favorite time of the year. I love all the lights, smells and the spirit of the holiday. It brings me so much joy!
