Well finally on June 10th, the day we had been waiting for, for months was here. Jayleigh spent Sunday night at Jerry and Shelly's since Landon and I had to be at the hospital in Gunnison at 5:00 am. I wasn't even that nervous I was just excited to be able to see this little guy. The first picture is about the only picture I have of myself while pregnant. (Besides my baby shower ones) We got to the hospital and they got me right in, got my IV started and the epidural in. I was back in the operating room at 7:00 and Easton was here shortly there after. He was 7.02 pounds and was 19 inches long. Since I had to have a C- Section everything went pretty smooth. Landon came into the operating room with me, but once they got things started he got woozy and had to leave the room. I don't even remember when he came back in or seeing Easton right after he came out. I do remember coming to a little bit and asking the Dr. if he was still a boy. They just laughed at me and said, "Yes, you saw him. Don't you remember?" I had no clue. He was just perfect. My mom, dad, Lyndsay, Logan, Jerry & Shelly where all there. Jerry and Shelly brought Jayleigh and I was so excited to be able to see her reaction to her little brother. It was love at first sight. She would not let him out of her sight as soon as she saw him. She was adorable with him. She went up to Cashelle's house for a couple of days while I was in the hospital and got to play with her cousins and she LOVED every minute of it but was so happy to come back home. I was also excited to have her back home, I missed that girl!
I was pretty sick after I had him for the rest of the day. I couldn't keep anything down. I wasn't like that with Jayleigh but I had her at night and I was able to sleep most of that off. I was so happy when I started to feel better cause I felt like I could actually snuggle him without having to Landon having to get him from me every 20 min so I could throw up. Still, with all of that going on it was such a great day. Everything else went so smoothly.
We are so blessed to have Easton in our family. He is such a sweetheart and we just love him! It is so much fun to watch him change everyday and to see Jayleigh interact with him. I love it! Here are some pictures from that exciting day!
My mom bought Jayleigh her own baby to have at the hospital and to take with her up to Cashelle's. She though that was pretty neat to have her very own baby and carried with her everywhere for about 2 weeks straight. Every time I would have to change Easton's bum her baby would have to have a diaper change. Every time Easton would need to eat, her baby would need to eat. She is going to be such a great mom one day!
