New do!

We cut Jayleigh's hair today and I think it turned out so cute! Her hair was getting long and she refused to let me pull it up anymore and would pull it out anytime I did her hair. Needless to say by the end of the day it was full of food and so hard to comb through and she would most nights cry when I was combing it. This is going to be so nice for her though that way. Now she will have to let me actually do it every day and I hope that won't be a challenge!

She did it!!

I'm so proud of Jayleigh! After the Duncan Christmas party I didn't think there was anyway that she would sit on Santa's lap again (at least this year). So when Courtney let us know that Santa was coming to daycare I was excited to see how Jayleigh would react again. Well he called her name and I took her over there and put her on his lap and she didn't even cry. Of course she was playing with her hair as she always does when she is nervous or embarrassed. He asked her what she wanted and she said loud and proud "a kitchen". I was so proud for her and excited that she got up the courage to sit on his lap. She has told me over and over again since that "Santa is really nice and brings me toys." I'm so happy that I got a good picture with her and Santa this year and I hope that this is just the start of many more! So Santa, I think she has earned her kitchen set this year for Christmas. ;)

GREAT NEWS!!!

We got some wonderful news for our little family yesterday. Landon got a job working for Richfield City on the road crew!!! This means no more working out of town, no more packing, no more seeing each other for only a few days out of a week! It also means more steady hours, so we won't have to worry so much about winters, plus he gets benefits! We are more than thrilled that he is going to be working there. He is going to be making a little bit less, but you know what?......................The more family time that we are going to be able spend together is going to more than compensate for that little bit of loss. We are gaining so much more, and we couldn't be happier!!! I'm so happy too that we are still living with his parents right now, because it will give us time to figure out a new budget and get used to the new pay schedule and stuff so we will be better off when we have our own home! Landon will have his first day on Monday (12-12) and I will for sure keep you updated on how it goes.
