Horsin' Around

Dusten was nice enough to take Jayleigh over to his Dad's last week and let her ride his horse. She wasn't too sure about it at first but once she got on and grabbed on to its mane she had a blast. She thought she was pretty hot stuff and after she got off, she kept asking to get back on. He also let her feed the horse and the donkey. Thanks Dusten and she can't wait to do it again!

Corn Maze

We went to a corn maze on Saturday. It was so much fun! Landons's aunt Denise, her brother did it. It was cut out like an army tank. We had a lot of fun of that day, Jayleigh had fun playing with Emma, going on the bounce house, riding the train, and walking through the corn. While we were there, we pigged out on snow cones, funnel cakes, potatoes, and fried pickles. YUMMY!! Jayleigh also found a piece of board that was covered in dirt and thought it was so much fun to slide down. She was filthy by the time we got ready to leave.

Kids say and do the darndest things......

Last Saturday, Shelly was nice enough to watch Jayleigh while Landon and I went up the mountain with Jerry and Logan. It was so nice to go up and see the leaves changing color. It is really beginning to feel like fall! :) While Shelly was watching Jayleigh she had a little scare. Jayleigh had hid and Shelly couldn't find her anywhere. Shelly was running through the house and went outside calling her name and nothing. In frantic as anybody would be, she called Lyndsay and Dusten to come and help her find Jayleigh. While they were on their way Shelly looked under her bed and Jayleigh was pushed clear up against the wall and was smiling. She thought it was a joke and thought she did a good job at hiding. Needless to say Jayleigh had a good talking with Grandma. Shelly put Jayleigh in the tub and Jayleigh was in the tub and looked at Shelly and said, "You are not my BFB anymore." (Lately Jayleigh has been into calling everybody her best friend. She knows that how she hurts feelings is by telling people they are not her best friend.) Oh where do kids come up with this stuff. Well I'm happy to report I was talking to her tonight and asked her who her best friends were. She named off every single member of our family, all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandpas, and ALL the grandmas! :)

Having fun

Jayleigh has been getting to be so much fun lately. We busted out the play dough a couple of days ago. Thanks by the way Cashelle, AJ, and family for getting that for Jay for Christmas. we had a lot of fun things making starfish, lobsters, and fish. Jayleigh had a blast. I just had to take some pictures of her sleeping the other morning. She was having a hard night and came to sleep in our bed early in the morning. I went and got into the shower and came out and Jayleigh was sprawled out on the bed. I just had to take a picture because she is always so much cuter when she is sleeping for some reason. I just love this little girl so much.

Jayleigh Kay

I decided that I needed to dedicate a post specifically to our little princess. She is doing so many cute and funny things each day I don't want to forget all them.
She is getting so good a playing by herself. She has a huge imagination and just amazes me at the things she comes up with. She absolutely loves playing with all her dolls. She is going to be such a great mommy some day, and someday a big sister! (Just to be clear, this is NOT an annoucement of any kind.)
She is very stubborn and definitely gets that from her dad. She sits on her "naughty stool" quite often. If she doesn't want to do something, you will for sure know it!
She loves to sing. Her favorite song to sing is "Baa Baa Black Sheep". She loves "I Love To See The Temple" and refers to it as her song. Every time we hear it or I sing it to her she will just stop what she is doing and listen.
She loves all the Disney Princess's and Tinkerbell. I love to hear her say Cinderella because it sounds like "Cinderquella" and would watch them everyday if I let her.
Last night I put her to bed, and she had been in bed for a while when I her whimpering and crying. I go into her room and her pajamas and diaper are lying on the floor and she is naked laying on her bed. She looks at me and says "Mommy I'm cold." I said "Well you need to leave your pajamas on so you stay warm." She looks at me says "Okay. Thanks Mom." After she is dressed give me a big love and kiss and jumps back into bed.
She always knows when something is bothering you, or you are sad, and always asks "you okay?" With her head tilted to the side. When she does something to hurt you she is quick to say sorry and give you a great big hug and kiss. She is the best and giving hugs and kisses.
Today I went and got her a little early from daycare so she could come to work with me. My office is on main street and they were having the parade for the ATV Jamboree. Well we were getting ready to go and she was sitting in my chair and says "Look Mom I'm in your butt." I looked at her and said "You mean chair?" She got this smile on her face and says "oh yeah, chair." Silly girl.
I can't believe that she is going to be 3 soon. I can't imagine our life without her. We love her so much. I'm going to try and be better and keep putting cute things up she does since this is like my journal and I'm going to be printing it off.
Jay, Dad and I love you so much. Thanks so much for being you and being a part of our lives. We look forward to all the adventures!

Caught up!

I'm finally all caught up on here! If you really care about our boring lives, you will probably have to go to the 2nd page to read everything. If you are interested in our lives, your probably family and we just want you to know we love you!

Little Mermaid and Grease

My mom, Shelly and I all went down to St. George, this last weekend to watch The Little Mermaid and Grease at the Tuachan. It was a blast and I'm so glad we went. The first night we went and saw The Little Mermaid. That was awesome, all the cool effects they did, was just unbelievable. I absolutely loved it!

After the show they had the characters come out. When we got outside there wasn't very many people in line to take pictures with the cast, so we thought what the heck we will stand in line and get pictures! Well Flounder, Sebastian, and Ursala, were going to another line but I got tried to get pictures of them as they went by. They were so amazing in the show, it was fun to get to see them up close. My mom and I being the dorks that we are got our picture taken with Eric and Ariel. We were the only adults in the line that didn't have children with us in the picture. What can we say, but it made for a great memory! :) We had went to Panda Express before the show and had some left overs. Well when we got home we were kind of hungry so we decided to eat our food. Well my mom managed to spill her whole container of sweet and sour sauce on the comforter. After she had wiped most of it up with a rag, we whipped out our tide to go sticks and got to work. Believe it or not, it got the stain out! You could not even tell where she had spilled. We should have taken a before and after picture and sold it tide to make some money!

Saturday, we went shopping and got pedicures. My mom had never had one and she really enjoyed it. We will have to do it again. Well I had on flip flops but Shelly and my mom did not. After we were done and we had let our toe nails dry for about 15 minuets they were putting on their shoes. Well the little Asian lady came running over and said "No, no, no,no you were my shoes so no mess ups." They were foam flip flops and with the lotion on their feet, they could barely walk, cause their feet were slipping and sliding all over the place. They were laughing so hard they could barely make it back to the car. It was hilarious! :)
Saturday was Grease, and I loved it. I just love that movie period, but to see the way they brought it to life was amazing. I just loved singing along with all the songs and just having a good time, and forgetting about everything for a little while.
Thanks mom and Shelly for all the fun memories. I cannot wait until next year!! :)

Landon's 25th Birthday

Landon turned 25 on September 3rd. We had a dutch oven dinner and cake and ice cream to celebrate! A couple of days before his party I took Jayleigh with me to Fresh Market and told her that she couldn't tell Daddy about his cake. She picked out his "Cars" cake, she really wanted Tinkerbell, but I talked her out of it! :) Well we came home and the first thing she did when Landon walked in the door is say, "Dad, we got you a birthday cake." I said "Jayleigh, you were supposed to keep that quiet. So she gets on Landon's lap and whispers in his ear "Dad, we got you a birthday cake." It was pretty cute. :)

Sanpete County Fair

This year the fair was so great. We went to the derby on Friday night with Landon's family and my family. It was Jayleigh's first derby and she had fun watching the cars and dancing during the heats! My friend Amber and I decided to run the 5K on Saturday. We finished in 40 minuets which wasn't to horrible for our first one! After the race we went to the car show, did fun on the farm, went to the parade, and then to the rodeo. Thanks mom and dad for getting us tickets to the rodeo, Jayleigh loved it. (I'm a loser though and only got one picture of Amber and I and the parade.)

Too tired for bed?

Jayleigh did not want to go to bed one night, so we put her in her room and left her downstairs. She was crying but we just let her cry it out. Well Landon went down stairs to go to bed and found her fast asleep on the floor, by her door way. Funny girl! :)

24th of July

We had a really quite 24th of July. We went over to Monroe in the morning and watched the parade and then came home and took naps. That night we had my mom and dad, Chris, Cody, Carter, Grandma Brown, Monique, Derrick, and Brogun to watch fireworks. It was nice to relax and enjoy the day. We now have a bag of candy, still from all the parades this year! :)
