Uncle Dick

Our husband, father, grandfather, brother and son returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the age of 52, after a valiant battle with cancer. Dick was born June 20, 1958, in Richfield, Utah, to Clarence Edwin and Mona Rae McInelly Twitchell. He married Peggy Lyn Jensen, May 7, 1982, in Monroe. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on February 9, 1991, where their family was sealed together forever. They made their home in Monroe with lots of love and laughter and everyone felt welcome. Dick was raised in Antimony and graduated from Piute High School in 1976. He attended Sevier Technology School in Richfield where he completed a degree in Building Trades. He fought fires with the BLM for 13 years before going back to school in Cedar City at SUSC to earn a bachelor’s degree in teaching History and P.E. He worked for Sevier School District with the maintenance crew for 19 years. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dick was a High Priest and served in a variety of organizations. He was a home teacher, Scout Master and served in the Sunday School Presidency. Dick loved sports and served the community by coaching Little League baseball, middle school football and basketball. He loved to watch and cheer on the high school teams as well. He had a passion for being in the beautiful mountains. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his four-wheeler and loved being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, Monroe; children, Jenny (Max) Sorensen, Cedar City; Kimberly (Bryan) Brown, Central Valley; Brittney Twitchell, Provo; Bryce Twitchell, Cedar City; and Jayson Twitchell, Monroe; grandchildren, Bret, Bryan and Tyler; mother, Mona Rae Twitchell, Antimony; siblings, Robert (Jane) Twitchell, Lloyd (Donna) Twitchell, Lawrence (Rachel) Twitchell, all Cedar City; Debra (Neil) Aronoff and Sharen (Chris) Hanks, both of West Valley City; Jerry (Shelly) Twitchell, Elsinore; and Leon Twitchell, Antimony; mother-in-law, Elva Jensen, Monroe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debbie (Jim) Walker and Paul (Estella) Jensen, both of Monroe; Daniel (Jenni) Jensen, Axtell; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Twitchell and father-in-law, Norris Jensen.

Camping with the Moore's

Well to celebrate us being back in town, we didn't waste any time! We went camping with our friends, Derrick and Monique Moore. They have a little boy Brogun that is just about 3 weeks older than Jayleigh. We went above Elsinore and we had so much fun! Jayleigh and Brogun had so much fun playing with each other, (other than the occasional fight, they are only 2 after all!) Thanks so much you guys and we can't wait to do it again!!

They were shooting at a squirrel that was seriously the biggest squirrel I have ever seen in my life! Well it sat on a rock and posed for them and they still couldn't hit it! They are up looking for it, but it got away.

Big Changes!

We have a big change in our little family recently! WE HAVE MOVED BACK HOME!!! That's right, I'm so excited about it! :) I got a job working for Okerlund-Sorensen-Leavitt Insurance in Richfield. I started on the the 23rd of May and I'm so happy I made the move. It was really hard to say to good bye to the wonderful people I worked with, the daycare Jayleigh had went too since she was 6 weeks old and our awesome apartment. I'm so mad I didn't even get pictures of Jayleigh with her daycare, they were so good to her. We are now living with Landon's parents and we are hoping to be able to either build or buy a house in the near future. Life is great right now and things couldn't really get any better. The only thing that would make it better is if Landon was working in Richfield as well and could be home every night. He is still working for Mel Clark and is out of town all week. Things will only get better from here and I'm so excited for this new adventure!

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

This year, we couldn't go to our usual camping spot due to ALL the water that we have had. Our usual camping spot was way to wet. We ended up going between Manti and Ephraim, up the deer camp. We had so much fun! Jayleigh had tons of fun playing with her cousins and learning to drive the four wheeler, and shooting her own .22. Thanks so much mom and dad for putting it together, I love going camping with everybody it's so nice to spend sime with every body.

Easter 2011

Easter this year was so much fun! We headed out to the Sand Dunes on Friday morning and came home on Sunday afternoon. It was so much fun to be able to go camping and just spend some time with the family and be able to do a little riding. Jayleigh had so much fun out there as well. She had a lot of fun during her Easter Egg hunt and when she saw what the Easter Bunny had brought her. When she figured out the whole hunting the eggs, we had to hide them about 5 more times. She also had a lot fun helping Uncle Logan fix his bike! :) Here are the pictures from our fun filled weekend.

She had so much fun rolling the eggs. The sand was so soft that they wouldn't break unless they hit each other so she just kept rolling, and rolling, and rolling........
